  1. I read with interest your article on the mystery snack food. To me coming from the country of palms, it looks like no other than the heart of a palm. I Iraq we call it jummar, and we buy it as snack food from venders, but it is not neatly cut like in the photos. I would be interested in your feed back on this comment.

    thnak you for the discourse of the Banlore street snack and its afinity to what i, during ny African yuth knew as the source of Sisal twine ( String), abundant from East Africa.

    teh sisal twine was used to closed Jute Bacs soourced from SAE Asia for filling with various food products.
